A Bacterium In The Gut Was Related To The Brain

A bacterium in the gut was related to the brain, several known intestinal disorders due to psychiatric disorders such as stress, depression and anxiety. Not only use desyrel, now scientists reveal the depression experienced by a person could be opposed by taking probiotics.

One is readily available probiotic yogurt drink containing the probiotic. Drinking yogurt is also considered better than the consumption of antidepressants because of fewer side effects.

The findings, reported online in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences said that the results obtained could lead to new ways to control depression, anxiety and other disorders.

A health expert said that the influence of bacteria in the intestines it could develop a broad spectrum of chemicals in the brain and behavior, as well as allowing the development of therapies for treating psychiatric disorders by targeting the gut.

"The effects depend on the probiotic strain that depends on the yogurt, so it does not mean every day have to eat yogurt. However, it is expected to have fewer side effects than drugs," he said.

The researchers indeed have long suspected that bacteria in the gut associated with the brain, for example, some known intestinal disorders due to psychiatric disorders such as stress, depression and anxiety in that person.
